Merging PDFs without uploading them
PDFs often contain private information — contracts, invoices, medical records or ID documents. Most online mergers ask you to upload every file to their server first. Zashify works differently: it reads the copies already on your device, combines their pages in your browser, and writes the finished document straight back to your downloads. Nothing is transmitted, nothing is stored, and if you close the tab before the merge finishes, nothing has left your machine.
Why merge PDFs into one file
- Send a complete application as one attachment instead of five.
- Bundle invoices, receipts and delivery notes for one client or one month.
- Combine scans from different apps into a single, ordered document.
- Prepare board papers, reports or tenders with chapters in the right sequence.
How file order works
Pages appear in the output exactly in the order the files are listed in the workbench. Drag a file up or down before merging until the sequence matches what you want.
If a file ends up in the wrong place after merging, you can fix it: extract the out-of-order pages with the Split PDF tool and re-merge the pieces.
What happens to quality
Merging never re-renders your pages. The tool copies page objects from each source file into the new document, so text stays selectable and searchable, images keep their original resolution, and pages keep their size and orientation. File size adds up roughly like the inputs: a 2 MB and a 5 MB PDF produce about a 7 MB result.
Tips for large merges
- Give files clear names (01 brief, 02 budget, 03 plan) so the intended order is obvious at a glance.
- Merge in batches if you have dozens of files — several smaller merges keep the browser responsive.
- If the result is too large to email, run it through the Compress PDF tool afterwards.
- Password-protected files must be unlocked first; merge the unprotected copies.
